There were beige khaki shirts, beige stirr-up trousers, beige jackets, beige ponchos beige dresses. Simply everything was beige. But who in their right mind is complaining? Chloe's spring 2010 collection was outstanding. This was just as impressive as McQueen's this season, but in a different way. The simplicity of the collection is what makes it so, trendy. This season, vogue reminds us of the trends that are popular right this minute. These are as follows: fierce animal prints, ice cream shades, shorts in action, striking prints, raw power, spring bling, whitewash, and last but certainly not the least, modern military. I guess you could say this Chloe collection would go into that category. I think it's more safari, with the socks underneath the sandals and the jackets.
Everything was plain and simple. If you look at the clothes individually, they're all so beautifully designed in their own way. This collection also collaborates with the tomboy look, which I am all in favour for. A Khaki button down shirt is not just boyish, but it shows a naturally fresh look. And this is what this collection is all about. The girls look powerful and in control walking down the catwalk.
This is Chloe. This is the natural, fresh look we always see each season, and I love the way that never changes. Hannah MacGibbon keeps it like this every time. And this is where Chloe's originality shows. MacGibbon traded in the high heels, for comfortable leather sandals, to touch up the loose, baggy, fresh look.
